Christopher White is a graduate of The North Bennet St. School in Boston, Massachusetts. White’s violin making teachers consist of Ray Melanson, Arthur Toman and Marilyn Wallin. Mr. White attended The Oberlin College violin restoration workshops under Vahakn Nigogosian, and went on to train in the shops of Samuel Zygmuntowicz and William Monical before opening his own studio in Boston in 1991. Christopher White’s instruments are made in a variety of sizes to accommodate the needs of the individual musician, and will copy a specific instrument on request. Christopher White strives to achieve the sound qualities and appearance of the best examples of the Italian master makers, using first class materials.
