Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, Pierre-Yves Fuchs was trained in the craft of cabinet making before learning violin making and later, bow making. He studied with prominent bow makers Gilles Duhaut, Pierre Guillaume, and Benoit Rolland before opening his own workshop with his wife, luthier Marjorie Chaxel. His bows are in the style of Peccatte, Maire, and Pajeot.

This bow features a round pernambuco stick, 18K rose gold fittings, and is decorated exquisitely with diamonds, detailed below. This bow comes with a certificate from Pierre-Yves Fuchs.
