$0.00

Nephew and student of violin maker David Caron, Lawrence Wilke entered the violin making trade while still a teenager. After studying violin making with his uncle and bow making with Philip Krause, he worked for two years in the Tarynton, England shop of Andrew Dipper before establishing his own shop in 1988. Since then, he has won a Gold Medal and three Silver Medals for his cellos. His violas feature a rich depth, and have a great projection. Numerous distinguished musicians have played on his instruments, including principals of the Detroit Symphony, Boston Lyric Opera, and Shanghai Symphony, as well as the late cellist Janos Starker.
