Handmade in Houston, Texas, Pops’ Bass Rosin was created by Pops, a bass player that performed with the Houston Symphony for over 40 years. His family now makes the rosin and has kept Pops’ original recipe. Pops’ is one of the most popular bass rosins, loved by students and professionals alike. This rosin is very soft and malleable, will run when the container is tilted or not stored upright. It will also melt in high temperatures. A little goes a very long way, most players only use a swipe or two or three dabs on the bow. Strings, bass and bow must be cleaned regularly as Pops’ has a tendency to form “globs” on bow hair or the top of the bass.
