The label reads “Johann Dressel, Model Guarnerius, Germany”. Most likely made in the first decade of the 20th century, this Guarneri copy violin features a fine grain spruce top with a medium-flamed maple back and sides. This violin is in excellent shape and plays beautifully. It is finished with a French-inspired red-orange varnish shaded over a yellow background, and fitted with rosewood chinrest, tailpiece and pegs.
