A student of Jean Baptiste Vuillaume, Honoré Derazey established his workshop in Mirecourt, France following several years of training with violin makers in Paris. His works received awards at competitions in London and Paris between 1839 and 1851. Following the example of his teacher, Derazey primarily made instruments based upon the Stradivari models.
