Stefano Gironi received his training at the Cremona School of Violin Making under master luthiers Vincenzo Bissolotti and Stefano Conia. After graduating, he worked in the workshop of Bissolotti and his father, master luthier Francesco Bissolotti. His instruments, known for their rich sonorities and brilliant varnish, are highly influenced by Cremonese masters of the early 20th century including Ferdinando Garimberti and Giuseppe Ornati.
