Alex Reza became interested in violin making after his children began taking violin lessons in 2006. By 2013 he had received the Bob Wallace Award for overall tone at the Violin Makers Association of Arizona competition. In 2017 he received a Silver Medal for violin workmanship, varnish, and tone. Reza now runs his own shop, Violins of Omaha, where he continues to make instruments that are excellent in character of sound and craftsmanship.
