Before entering into violin making, Adriano Spadoni studied at the Institute of Restorers and Engravers of Wooden Works in Moscow where he learned historical methods for construction and decoration of woodworks. He then moved to Cremona to study at the Antonio Stradivari School of Violin Making under master luthier Giorgio Cè. He has worked in the shops of Katharina Abbhul, Alessandro Krivoli, and Edgar Russ. He took 16th place overall for his viola at the 2006 International Triennale Violin Making Competition in Cremona and 2nd place for his violin at the 2007 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow.
