Originally a talented violinist, bow maker Douglas Raguse studied his craft with Lloyd Liu and William Salchow after completing his violin studies at the University of Miami. He received numerous awards for his bows, including a Gold Medal from the Violin Society of America in 1980 and First Prize from the American Federation of Violin and Bow Makers in 1986. This bow features a round pernambuco stick, silver fittings, and a large mother of pearl frog inlay.
