Regarded as one of the best early 20th century German bowmakers, Otto Hoyer was often referred to as “Pariser” (“the Parisian”) in reference to his years studying under Eugène Sartory in Paris. After relocating to Markneukirchen to establish his own workshop, he continued to make bows in Sartory’s style. The combination of French and German influences on his craft resulted in strong, well-balanced, and elegant bows.
