Terra Nova Violins encourages everyone involved with musical instrument bows – those who make them, sell them, and play instruments with them – to consider joining and supporting the International Pernambuco Conservation Initiative. This unique organization is making great strides to conserve and rehabilitate the endangered pernambuco tree. Terra Nova Violins participates in IPCI's "Plant a Tree" program. For every bow we rehair, we pay for the planting of one pernambuco seedling in Brazil. Please follow this link to their site to learn more about the organization, and how you can help.
The Violin Society of America is an organization of people interested in the violin, viola, cello, bass, and their bows and the making, restoring, playing, history, acoustics, buying/selling and collecting of these instruments. Please follow this link to their site to learn more about the organization.
