Lessons

Terra Nova Violins is pleased to make available to teachers, students, and ensembles five state-of-the-art lesson and rehearsal studios. Conveniently located next door to our retail shop and repair workshop on Blanco Road, just inside Loop 410, the studios have been custom designed and built for acoustical excellence and comfort. The studios are large, each having ample room for a small ensemble. One is larger still, with room for large ensembles or class meetings. They have a pleasant, full acoustic inside, and very little sound bleed to the outside and between studios. Parents may observe lessons from the comfort of the waiting area on the split-screen video monitor. Students have access to the services of our repair workshop, as well as our large sheet music, instrument, and bow collection.

A full roster of teachers offers lessons for beginning, intermediate, and advanced violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists. Several teachers also offer additional instruction, such as guitar, piano, composition, etc. Group and individual lessons are available, as well as theory classes specifically designed for string players.
